Hawaiʻi Classical Academy

Many parents expected schools to focus on core academics like math, science, history, and the arts, but have seen a shift toward themes such as diversity, environmental issues, and emotional development. This change has raised concerns about declining academic performance and reduced parental involvement, as well as impacts on students’ character and reasoning skills. In response, OUR PROGRAMS embrace classical education, which emphasizes teacher-led instruction, a rigorous liberal arts curriculum, primary sources, classic literature, traditional math, Latin, and the study of grammar, logic, and rhetoric—all aimed at fostering strong academics, moral character, and civic virtue.
