Hawai‘i Classical Academy on ‘Ōlelo
Featured in the first episode of the year, Hawai‘i Classical Academy President, Lila Marantz, was invited to share about Hawai‘i Classical Academy and the Hillsdale College 1776 Program and Model on ‘Ōlelo’s Kāne‘ohe Town talk show hosted by Hawai‘i Classical Academy Vice-President, Adriel Lam.
As brilliantly described by Lila, Hawai‘i Classical Academy aims to teach civics and virtues with the belief and knowledge that understanding civics is important for anybody who wants to claim citizenship in the United States, building up knowledge of how the country was founded, why the country was founded, what the important historical documents are, and especially to appreciate what is there and attainable for us to claim our rights, exercise our responsibilities as citizens.
